While some situations are unique, there are several common issues that can typically be resolved with one or two simple steps. The below information should help you with basic problems that can occur by providing you with a simple solution. If you have additional problems or the troubleshooting tips don’t work, contact your local service provider for additional information.
The Device Won’t Turn On
If your device won’t turn on, the most common problem is that your battery is low or has died completely. Make sure to check our vehicle battery to make sure that it’s working. Sometimes, ignition interlock devices can drain your car battery, and sometimes your battery might just fail on its own and prevent the ignition interlock from starting. In either case, check your car battery. If the problem persists after you change your battery, contact your local service provider for more information and to reach a solution.
The Device Displays an Error Code
Every ignition interlock device comes with a Compliance Guide. You should refer to the “Handset Message” list in your Compliance Guide to determine what the code means and what you should do about it.
